I'm Saundra Boyd. It is my pleasure to serve as your
Mental Health Caregiver Coach. A bit about me… I have served as a registered nurse for nearly 40 years.I have been married to the love of my life for almost all of those years and we raised four adult children together.

But what may be most relevant to you is that I care for a mentally ill loved one. You might expect that given my nursing training and experience I would have known just what to do and how to cope. The truth is that nothing could have prepared me to care for a mentally-ill loved one. I felt the helplessness, fear, hopelessness and loneliness that I expect you are also feeling. After years of finding my way, I decided I was going to make it my mission to help others who find themselves in this situation. My biggest message to you is; You are not alone and you can have peace of mind.

Are you caught in the relentless cycle of caregiving without a moment for yourself?

It's time to pause and reassess. The demands of caregiving can often leave you feeling like you're in a constant state of juggling responsibilities, with personal time and self-care seemingly slipping through your fingers. This continuous cycle can lead to burnout, stress, and a loss of identity outside your caregiving role. It's not just about the physical toll but the emotional and mental strain that comes with putting another's needs before your own at all times.

But remember, taking care of yourself isn't a luxury—it's a necessity.

By stepping back, even momentarily, you give yourself the space to breathe, reflect, and regain the energy you need to be both a better caregiver and a happier, more fulfilled individual.

My approach to empowering you entails providing you with the education, resources and support that you need to take care of your loved one. Then we dive deep into your own wellbeing, transforming you from the inside out. Using my own personal experience as a family caregiver of the mentally ill, we will work together so that you are empowered to not only take care of your loved one but to also relax, take care of yourself, love yourself and smile and have fun while doing it.

I am writing this testimonial to thank Coach Saundra for helping me work through a difficult time I was/am having. Being 58 years old and self- employed my whole working career I find myself at a crossroad. I can’t physically keep up the same work pace but at the same time I’m not financially secure enough to retire. Working with Saundra has helped me to step out of my comfort zone and explore other career options. She gives me a safe space to talk about and purge personal issues that may be blocking me from career success and from living a fuller more grateful life.
